The Southern Conference shall be dedicated to the promotion of the interests of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, as declared in the Constitution, By-Laws, and Congressional Charter thereof, and shall supplement the efforts of the constituted officials of the V.F.W. in the geographical territory composing its field of activity. 

Comrades and Auxiliary Members of the Southern Conference,

 

As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for the hard work and dedication you demonstrate every day in your departments. Your unwavering commitment to assisting veterans and their families—whether through benefits support, emergency assistance, or simply showing that we care—truly reflects the heart and mission of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

 

As we gather around our tables to give thanks, let us also remember those who are standing watch and guarding the gates of freedom around the world. Their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of their families, reminds us of the true meaning of service.

I wish each of you a warm and meaningful Thanksgiving. May you cherish this time with your family, friends, and loved ones.
